Wedding Toastmaster - Making Your Day Amazing!
As any recently married couple will tell you, the steps you take down the aisle are the last on a long journey. Even small weddings require some planning. When the guest list grows, the amount of preparation required can be daunting to even the most organised of brides and grooms-to-be. This is when a wedding toastmaster becomes invaluable.
As a professional wedding toastmaster, there are certain duties I perform that are to be expected, including welcoming your guests and making announcements at key moments throughout the day. However, my role has so many more facets to it. While the guests – and you – enjoy themselves, I’m often busy behind the scenes, making sure everything is running as it should be.
I usually spend about 15 to 20 hours working meticulously on a wedding, including the all-important preparation that happens in the months leading up to “I do” day. To give you more insight into my role as a wedding toastmaster, the following is just some of things I do to help the happy couple keep smiling:
Meet with the bride at least twice to help her prepare and plan her wedding
Liaise with suppliers and the venue both before and on the day
Ensure all members of the wedding party are where they need to be
Welcome guests to the venue
Gather guests together for photographs
Announce the speeches
Keep an eye on the time (you’ll be surprised how quickly time flies!)
When you are caught up in the moment, the last thing you want is to be brought back down to earth by a late supplier or missing Best Man. With me as your wedding toastmaster, any trial or tribulation can be overcome.
