Toastmaster for your Social Occasion

 

A Toastmaster at your social occasion or party function adds a certain "je ne sais quoi" to the proceedings, whether it’s a reserved affair or more relaxed. As you’re the host, I’ll always take direction from you as to how formal you require me to be. I can even swap the standard uniform for a lounge suit, dinner jacket or even fancy dress – your event, your rules!

 

From big family celebrations to intimate dinner parties and ladies’ luncheons, every social occasion is different and I adapt my manner to suit your needs. In addition, my varied experience as a Toastmaster means that I’m highly capable and proactive in my approach, using my initiative to solve any problems if they occur.

 

So what will I do as a Toastmaster at your social occasion? Usually my role involves a combination or all of the following:

 

• Welcoming your guests

• Arranging coats to be taken to a cloakroom

• Liaising with your venue to ensure everything is in hand

• Talking with catering staff to ensure and drinks, nibbles or meals are served at the correct time

• Announcing dinner 

• Arranging transport for your guests to and from the venue

• Acting as compere and organising entertainment

 

The above list is certainly not extensive. My number one priority, though, is ensuring your vision for the occasion is realised without compromise. One of the best things about being a Toastmaster is seeing the host or hostess happy and relaxed, talking to their guests. That’s what I’ll strive to see happen at your social occasion.
